It seems that Hero will soon launch an update for the Splendor Plus. A video of what appears to be a revised version of the commuter motorcycle has surfaced on social media. It shows the motorcycle with a disc brake at the front. In the video, two new colour options are also visible: red with golden highlights and a matte shade with racing stripes.

The Hero Splendor Plus is available in four variants in India. Prices start from Rs 77,176 and go up to Rs 79,926 (ex-showroom). All variants of the Splendor Plus are available with drum brakes on both ends. The new disc brake version will likely sit at the top of the bike’s variant lineup, and cost a bit higher than the current top-spec variant.

The current Splendor Plus model is powered by a 97.2cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 7.9 hp and 8.05 Nm of peak torque. It is paired with a 4-speed gearbox. Hero is likely to upgrade the engine to meet the OBD 2B compliant norms. The introduction of front disc brakes and new colour options could coincide.
