New Delhi: India has launched the 2025 , making it more convenient, comfortable, and safer. It remains the smallest electric city car in India. Prices start at Rs 4.99 lakh, with a Battery-as-a-Service option costing Rs 2.5 per km. The updated model comes with better interiors, upgraded technology, and improved safety features. Customers can book the new Comet EV 2025 or the Comet BLACKSTORM edition for Rs 11,000 at MG dealerships across India.
2025 EV Battery and Variants
The 2025 MG Comet EV is available in five variants—Executive, Excite, Excite Fast Charge, Exclusive, and Exclusive Fast Charge—each designed to meet different driving needs. The Excite and Excite FC variants now include a Rear Parking Camera and Power-folding ORVMs for added convenience and safety. The Exclusive and Exclusive FC variants feature premium leatherette seats and a 4-speaker audio system for a more comfortable in-cabin experience. The Fast Charging versions come with a 17.4 kWh battery, offering a range of up to 230 km on a single charge.
MG Comet BLACKSTORM Edition
In February 2025, JSW MG Motor India introduced the Comet BLACKSTORM Edition, priced at Rs 7.80 lakh (₹2.5 per km with Battery-as-a-Service). It has a stylish ‘Starry Black’ exterior with dark chrome, black badges, and red accents. Inside, it includes leatherette seats with ‘Blackstorm’ embroidery, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch instrument cluster, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, electronically adjustable ORVMs, and a 4-speaker audio system.

The Comet EV also comes with the MG e-Shield smart ownership package, which covers repair and service costs. The 3-3-3-8 service plan includes:
- 3 years or 1 lakh km warranty
- 3 years Roadside Assistance (RSA)
- 3 free labor services for the first three scheduled services
- 8 years or 1.2 lakh km battery warranty

2025 MG Comet EV and Maruti Suzuki WagonR Price Compared
The Maruti Wagon R price in New Delhi starts at Rs 5.64 lakh, with the base model being the Wagon R LXI, while the top-end variant, the Wagon R ZXI Plus AT Dual Tone, is priced at Rs 7.47 lakh (ex-showroom). In comparison, the MG Comet EV has a starting price of Rs 4.99 lakh and goes up to Rs 9.67 lakh (ex-showroom).
