2025 Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder Launched With Safety And Feature Upgrades: Here’s What’s New

has updated the Hyryder for the 2025 model year, bringing in a bunch of enhancements to the compact SUV. Several new standard features have been added to the Hyryder, while the higher trims also get new equipment. The standard safety features have also gone up. Another big change for 2025 comes in the form of a new 7-speed torque converter automatic gearbox for the AWD variants, replacing the 5-speed manual. With the update, the base price of the Hyder has increased to Rs 11.34 lakh (ex-showroom).

Safety upgrades for 2025 come in the form of structural enhancements across all variants of the Hyryder. In addition to this, Toyota has also made 6-airbags a standard fitment. Furthermore, automatic variants come with an electronic parking brake.

LED reading lamps, LED spot lamps, and a new speedometer have been added to all variants. However, higher trims benefit from more feature upgrades. The list of new features added to the select trims of the Hyryder include:

• Ventilated seats for Driver and front passenger
• Ambient lighting
• Tyre-pressure monitoring system
• Rear door sunshade
• 8-way adjustable powered driver seat

Toyota has introduced a new automatic 7-speed torque converter in the AWD variants of the Hyryder. It replaces the 5-speed manual, which was earlier available as standard. The AWD variants of the Hyryder come with a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 103 hp and 136 Nm of peak torque. These variants are equipped with a mild-hybrid system that features a 12 V integrated starter generator, offering a fuel efficiency of 21.12 km/l.
