240bhp Aprilia X 250TH Limited Edition Unveiled Globally

Aprilia has taken the wraps off the X 250TH, a track-only machine built to commemorate 250 years since the signing of the United States’ Declaration of Independence.

Limited to just 30 units globally, with 25 units allocated for the US market, the Aprilia X 250TH is as exclusive as it gets. It also sports a Stars and Stripes livery, although the real deal lies beneath the bodywork.

The biggest highlight is the braking setup. Aprilia has equipped the bike with carbon-carbon brake discs, a first for a customer motorcycle. Borrowed straight from MotoGP race bike, these discs are lighter and designed to perform optimally under extreme heat and high-speed track conditions.

The Aprilia X 250TH is essentially an RSV4 taken to the next level. It is powered by a 1,099cc, V4 engine that churns out a claimed 240bhp and revs past 14,000rpm. The motor has been heavily reworked with a higher compression ratio, revised intake, titanium exhaust, and a dry clutch. Despite the performance on offer, the bike weighs just 165kg dry.

Aprilia has also gone all out on the aerodynamics. Inspired by the RS-GP MotoGP bike, the X 250TH features an aggressive carbon-fibre aero package with winglets across the bodywork, along with a ground-effect system integrated into the fairing to improve stability while cornering.

The cycle parts are equally top-spec, with pressurised Öhlins suspension, forged magnesium wheels, and Pirelli World Superbike slick tyres. Electronics are handled by a race-spec APX ECU, which allows riders to fine-tune parameters like traction control, engine braking, and power delivery.

Priced at USD 150,000 (excluding taxes), the X 250TH also comes with track essentials such as paddock stands, tyre warmers, and a bike cover.
