Kia EV9 Electric-SUV To Launch In India Soon; Check Details

Kia EV9 made its international debut in 2023. Since then, the car has been among the awaited models in the Indian market. To fuel the fire even more, the brand announced last year that the electric SUV will be released in 2024. Now the time is coming closer and the SUV is expected to be launched in the festive season. Once launched, the electric SUV will be the first of the three-row SUVs of the brand to go on sale in India. It will also hold the title of being the second fully electric car of the brand in the country.

The Kia EV9 has a rugged yet classy aesthetic. Many design elements have been carried over from the concept version, such as the digitally advanced front end that gives the SUV a commanding presence, along with LED headlamps and daytime running lights. The rear end also features uniquely designed tail lamps, and the car sits on modern, futuristic alloy wheels.

The Kia EV9 utilizes the Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) architecture to provide spacious interiors with a third row for the electric car. It will be available in six and seven-seater configurations. As per the brand’s claims, the electric SUV will offer a range of up to 500 km on a single charge and it comes with a 350W DC charger which can fuel it from 10 percent to 80 percent in 80 minutes.

If rumours are to be trusted, Kia will first launch the all-wheel drive EV9 GT-line variant of the vehicle. The relatively powerful version of the car will have a 99.8 kWh battery pack which powers a motor producing 379 bhp of power and 700 Nm of peak torque. Using this power the vehicle can go from 0-100 kmph in five seconds. Meanwhile, the standard version of the car will have 201 bhp at its disposal and can go from 0-100 kmph in 9.4 seconds.
