BMW has launched a new variant of the 3 Series Gran Limousine in the Indian market at a starting price of Rs 65 lakh (ex-showroom). The version of the vehicle comes with a diesel engine and is called a 3 Series Gran Limousine M Sport Pro Edition. Before this, the M Sport Pro Edition was available with all the additional features only with the petrol engine. This combination was sold in the 330Li. However, now it will be sold under the 330Ld badge. It is to be noted that the brand has started taking bookings for this new car today onwards and with deliveries expected to begin soon.
In terms of features, the BMW 320 Ld M Sport Pro Edition gets multiple features that the brand earlier offered only on the petrol version. These can be seen in the form of a new blacked-out grille and rear diffuser, these elements are part of the BMW Shadowline package. Along with this, the car also gets a window guide rail, window frame, and rearview mirror frame. It also gets an aero package that comes with the M-badge. M door sill finishers front and rear, and daytime running lamps-cum-turn indicators. This is complemented by paint schemes like Carbon Black, Portimao Blue, Mineral White, and Skyscraper Grey.
The enhancements on the side of tech include BMW Park Assist Plus which is the brand’s name for a 360-degree camera. This feature can also be accessed via the BMW Mobile App. This also has a reversing assistant which is capable of reversing the car by tracing its path. Another major change in the feature list is the addition of ADAS Level 1 safety features.
On the inside, the car gets M Headliner anthracite upholstery, with electrically adjustable seats, 3-zone automatic climate control, panoramic sunroof, and ambient lighting. The car is also equipped with a curved display which consists of a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The cabin is also equipped with a 16-speaker Harman Kardon Surround Sound system.
The BMW 320Ld is equipped with a 2.0L four-cylinder diesel engine that delivers 190 bhp and 400 Nm of torque. It transmits power to the rear wheels through a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission. Accelerating from 0-100 kmph, the diesel variant achieves this in 7.6 seconds. Another option is the 330Li, which is powered by a 2.0L turbo petrol engine, producing 258 bhp and 400 Nm of torque.
