Renault India has achieved a significant milestone by becoming the first automobile manufacturer in India to successfully drive its entire product lineup to Umling La Pass, the world’s highest motorable road. Located in Ladakh at an altitude of approximately 19,300 feet above sea level, Umling La Pass presents a formidable challenge for even the most capable vehicles.
The Kwid, Triber, and Kiger, Renault‘s popular models designed primarily for city driving, were subjected to rigorous testing during the 1,000-kilometer journey from Leh to Pangong Lake, Hanle, Umling La Pass, and back. This expedition aimed to showcase the versatility and capability of Renault’s vehicles, demonstrating their ability to handle demanding terrain and extreme conditions.
