Royal Enfield is working on an update for the Interceptor 650. The new version will likely come with a 750 cc engine and many other updates. A recent sighting of a test mule confirms this. The prototype appears to be production-ready, which indicates that the launch of the new Interceptor might happen sooner than expected.

The new Interceptor test mule features several updates over the current model. For starters, it has a new tail-light setup. The main unit and indicators are circular in shape. You can also see a new TFT display. It is the same circular unit available on the Himalayan 450.
New Interceptor To Get A 750cc Engine
The biggest mechanical update is the introduction of a new 750cc engine. The current version has a 648cc, inline twin-cylinder engine that produces 46.8 hp and 52.3 Nm of peak torque. Expect the new engine’s power output to be higher than 50 hp.

The test mule rides on the same front and rear suspension setup as the current Interceptor 650. However, it has dual discs instead of a single-disc brake at the front. The rest of the design bits appear to be unchanged. The new Interceptor 750 will likely launch in India in 2025. Prices will likely go up. The current model starts from Rs 3.21 lakh (ex-showroom).
