Honda Sells 50,000 ADAS-Equipped Cars In India

Honda Car India has announced that it has sold 50,000 -equipped cars in India. The Japanese automaker offers this safety suite of advanced driver assistance systems across its model range in India, including the City executive sedan, the Elevate compact SUV, and the Amaze compact sedan. Honda first introduced ADAS tech on its cars in May 2022 on the City e:HEV.

95% Of Customers Opted For ADAS

Honda says that its customers have shown a growing interest in buying ADAS-equipped variants. More than 60% of Elevate sales account for variants with ADAS. This statistic is 95% and 30% for the City and Amaze, respectively. The Amaze currently stands as the most affordable car in India, offering ADAS capability.

Honda refers to its ADAS system as ‘Honda Sensing.’ In India, this system uses a wide-view camera at the front of the vehicle to scan the road ahead. It offers various advanced driver assistance technologies, such as the Collision Mitigation Brake System (CMBS), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Road Departure Mitigation (RDM), Lane-Keeping Assist System (LKAS), Lead Car Departure Notification (LCDN), and Auto High Beam (AHB).
