2025 Hybrid: Engine Specifications
Besides making the FZ-FI’s 149cc, single-cylinder engine OBD-2B compliant, Yamaha has also given it a hybrid system. It comes with idle stop-start technology, which switches off the engine at traffic lights and restarts it with clutch action. The other tech that this system uses is battery-assisted acceleration. Combined, both promises to offer a higher fuel economy.
2025 Yamaha FZ-FI Hybrid: Design
Visual updates for 2025 include sharper fuel tank edges and the integration of front winkers into the air intake area. Yamaha has also altered the handlebar positioning to increase comfort over long rides. The handlebar switches, such as the one for the horn, have been repositioned for better ergonomics. The FZ-FI Hybrid has a new fuel cap that stays attached while refuelling.

The feature list has also gone up. The FZ-FI Hybrid comes with a new 4.2-inch, colour TFT dashboard. It offers smartphone connectivity through Yamaha’s Y-Connect app. Two new colour options, Racing Blue and Cyan Metallic Grey, have also been added for MY25.
