Bajaj All Set To Launch Pulsar Classic In 2026 – How Will It Be Different?

As the Pulsar brand prepares to celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2026, Bajaj Auto is planning a major update and according to recent reports, the company is working on a next-generation Pulsar Classic range which is expected to launch in 2026, possibly by August during the festive season.

The Pulsar lineup today is divided into three main parts – Pulsar NS, Pulsar N and Pulsar Classic. The NS and N models are more modern, with updated designs and technology. The Classic Pulsar, however, focuses on simple styling, everyday usability and value for money.

The biggest updates are expected from the inside, rather than on the surface. Reports suggest that the next-generation Pulsar Classic will get a brand-new chassis, where the engine will act as a stressed member, which means the engine will help support the frame, making the bike stronger and lighter.

Currently, Classic Pulsars use an older double-cradle frame with twin rear shock absorbers and the new model is expected to move to a monoshock rear suspension, which is likely to be borrowed from the newer Pulsar N series.

The Pulsar Classic range is expected to continue with 125cc and 150cc engines, as these are the most popular in this segment. However, these engines will be updated to meet the latest emission and compliance norms. And as Bajaj is known for tuning engines well, buyers can expect smooth performance with better efficiency and reliability.

One thing Bajaj is unlikely to change too much is the iconic “Wolf Eye” headlamp design, which has been a signature of the Pulsar Classic since 2006 and as this design completes nearly 20 years, Bajaj is expected to give it subtle updates but not a complete redesign.

To keep up with modern expectations, the new Pulsar Classic range may get LED lighting, a digital instrument console and possibly Bluetooth connectivity. These features are already common on newer bikes and will help the Classic Pulsar appeal even more to younger riders.

According to reports, Bajaj Auto plans to launch the new Pulsar Classic range by August 2026, which is a perfect time for festive buying. Importantly, prices are expected to remain competitive, ensuring the Pulsar Classic continues to offer strong value.
