Nissan Gravite Vs Renault Triber – Price, Specs And Safety Features Comparison

The Renault Triber has marked a unique position in the Indian car market as It offered something no other car could at its price, which is the flexibility of a proper seven-seater and now, Nissan has stepped into that very space with the all-new Gravite.

Both MPVs are built on the same CMF-A platform and measure under four metres in length, which means they benefit from India’s lower tax bracket, which means they promise maximum space at a minimum price. But while they share their mechanical roots, the way they present themselves to buyers is quite different.

The Triber, on the other hand, looks sharper than before with a new grille, updated LED lights and Renault’s new 2D logo. However, its focus remains more on practicality. Both the cars offer 182 mm of ground clearance which makes them equally capable on broken Indian roads.

This is not an engine built for speed. Instead, it is tuned for city commutes, school runs, office traffic and weekend family trips. The Gravite claims up to 19.6 kmpl, while the Triber delivers around 20 kmpl in manual form.

Both get 6 airbags, ESP, traction control, TPMS and hill-start assist, but Nissan is clearly using safety as a key differentiator to position the Gravite as the more future-ready product.

The Renault Triber remains the benchmark for space flexibility and proven reliability, whereas the Nissan Gravite feels like the fresher, more feature-rich and safety-focused alternative and it is slightly more affordable at entry level. In a market where every rupee and every feature counts, this rivalry is exactly what family car buyers need.
