Your Weekly Dose of Bike Updates: Royal Enfield Bullet 650, TVS Jupiter 125, and More!

The Indian two-wheeler market witnessed a few noteworthy developments last week, in the form of a few launches, price hikes, and updates regarding upcoming products. In case you were too busy to keep track of it all, here’s a quick round-up.

Royal Enfield Bullet 650 Launch

Royal Enfield launched the Bullet 650 in India at Rs. 3,64,865 (ex-showroom). It was first unveiled at Motoverse 2025 and was expected to launch in January 2026. After many delays, the bike is finally here in India. The bike carries forward the design seen on the Bullet 350. It is powered by the 647.95cc, air and oil-cooled, parallel-twin engine, like the other models in the 650cc lineup. The engine outputs 46.4bhp and 52.3Nm and is paired to a six-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch.

Hero Super Splendor Xtec 2.0 launch

The new Hero Super Splendor XTEC 2.0 was also launched in India at Rs. 86,500 (ex-showroom). It gets cosmetic updates, new features, and Hero claims that it offers improved fuel efficiency. The motorcycle continues to be powered by the same 124.7cc, single-cylinder engine that produces 10.7bhp and 10.6Nm. Hero claims a fuel efficiency figure of 72kmpl, aided by the idle start-stop system. The motorcycle also gets an Integrated Starter Generator for quieter engine starts and smoother restarts in traffic.

TVS Jupiter 125 New Colours

TVS has updated the Jupiter 125 lineup in India with two new colours that are available exclusively on the DT SXC variant. These include Ivory Elite Green and Ivory Matte Copper Bronze, both of which are dual-tone shades. Additionally, the brand has increased the prices of the TVS Jupiter 125 lineup by up to Rs. 1,000. Besides that, the Jupiter 125 remains mechanically unchanged and continues to be powered by the same 124.8cc, air-cooled single-cylinder engine producing 8.7bhp and 11.1Nm.

Ultraviolette Tesseract Launch Timeline

The Ultraviolette Tesseract electric scooter is set to launch in January 2027. Deliveries of the brand’s highly anticipated scooter was supposed to begin this year but it is now delayed due to a few reasons. Ultraviolette says that after the unveiling of the concept Tesseract in 2025, they took the scooter to 30 different cities in India to gauge customer response and feedback, and a few changes have been made based on that. The Tesseract will be available in three battery capacities- 3.5kWh, 4kWh, and 6kWh. Prices will begin at Rs. 1.45 lakh, ex-showroom.

KTM Price Hike

KTM India is expected to increase the prices of a majority of its motorcycles in India, as per our dealer sources. The new prices will be applicable from 1 June and will affect models from the entry-level 160 Duke to the 390 Adventure S. Prices of the bigger CBU bikes will likely remain unchanged. While KTM is yet to officially confirm this development, our dealer sources have stated that the range of hike will be around Rs. 4,000-6,000, and will vary depending on the model.
