Exterior
In terms of dimensions, the BS6 Mahindra Marazzo MPV has a length of 4,585mm, a width of 1,866mm, and a height of 1,774mm. Mahindra Marazzo is based on the shark-inspired design philosophy with an aggressive fascia. The vehicle has been developed in collaboration with Mahindra Automotive North America, Pininfarina and Mahindra design centre in Chennai. Although the Marazzo is shorter than the Innova Crysta in terms of dimensions, the vehicle offers more room for the occupants with a longer wheelbase (at 2,760mm) and better width. The rear section looks unique as it is highlighted by shark-tail like tail lamps. Interestingly, the Marazzo offers a minimum turning radius of 5.25-metres.
Interior
To distinguish it from its competitors, the Marazzo gets distinctive feature highlights in the form of the purple instrument cluster with illumination and industry-first longitudinally-roof-mounted rear AC which claims to offer the fastest cooling cabin in its class with a choice of Direct and Diffused modes. The dashboard features a new-age touchscreen infotainment system with colourful personalisation themes. The middle-row seats can be reclined or folded, while the switches have been ergonomically positioned for easy access.
Engine
Mechanically, the BS6 compliant 1.5-litre (1,497cc) diesel engine generates 121bhp at 3,500rpm and 300Nm of torque between 1,750rpm – 2,500rpm. This engine comes mated to a six-speed manual transmission. The company is working on an automatic transmission option, which is expected to be introduced soon.
