The Brabus 900 Superblack Is A Monchrome Monster Of A Geländewagen

German tuning house Brabus has revealed the 900 Superblack. The Brabus 900 Superblack sees the German tuners turn the madness levels up to 11 on the already bonkers G-Class.

So what has Brabus done to create this hulking beast of a Geländewagen? Well, the tuning house has redone the twin-turbocharged V8 engine of the G63 AMG and has added quite a few exterior and interior mods.

First, Brabus took the AMG 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 and upped the displacement to 4.5-litres before adding specially developed turbochargers and a bespoke engine tune.

The result of all that work by Brabus means that the 900 Superblack’s 4.5-litre biturbo V8 kicks out 900bhp and 1,250Nm of peak torque. This is up by 323bhp and 400Nm compared to the Mercedes-AMG G63, which is absolutely mental.

So when that mad engine sends power to all four wheels via a 9-speed automatic gearbox, the Brabus 900 Superblack sprints from 0-100km/h in just 3.7 seconds, two-tenths of a second faster than the G63 AMG. The Brabus 900 Superblack has a top speed of 280km/h.

There are even more mechanical changes found under the skin of the 900 Spuperblack from Brabus. The monster SUV sports a different suspension setup with the new coilover springs able to adjust the 900 Superblack’s ride height by 45mm.

The 900 Superblack also gets Brabus’ Widestar exterior design package which gives the Geländewagen a much wider and meaner look. The body is painted in an exclusive Obsidian Black Metallic paint scheme.

The Brabus 900 Superblack rides on 24-inch BRABUS Monoblock Z Platinum Edition forged alloy wheels that are finished in the Brabus Signature Black shade and come shod with 295/30 ZR 24 (front) and 355/25 ZR 24 (rear) tyres.

To ensure that the rest of the world hears the 900 Superblack before ever laying eyes on it, Brabus has fitted the SUV with a valve-controlled stainless steel exhaust system with carbon tips.

The interior increases the monochrome menace of the Brabus 900 Superblack. The cabin is draped in black perforated leather which sports the special BRABUS Seashell Diamond quilting.

There are embossed 77 logos all around paying tribute to Brabus’ founding year – 1977. The 900 Superblack SUV also gets quite a bit of carbon fibre inside the cabin including the paddle shifters along with aluminium pedals.

Thoughts About The Brabus 900 Superblack

The Brabus 900 Superblack takes Merc’s Geländewagen and turns the craziness up to 11 on the luxury SUV to create a monochrome monster that will tickle the fancy of the world’s rich and famous.
