Punch EV Smart 30 Variant With 30 kWh Battery

Tata Motors has increased the battery capacity for the medium-range and long-range versions by 5 kWh and the Smart 30 variant now gets a 30 kWh battery pack. For perspective, that is the same as the bigger Nexon EV’s medium-range battery capacity but in a lighter and more compact model. This gives the Punch EV Smart 30 an estimated C75 real-world range of 260 to 275 kilometres on a full charge. New Punch EV also gets Tata’s new E-Drive 6-in-1 electric motor, which is more advanced than the Nexon’s Gen 2 motor.

In terms of features, being a base variant means that the Punch EV Smart 30 covers the essentials but misses out on comfort and convenience features. It gets 2 driving modes, a 4.1-inch instrument cluster screen, reflector LED headlamps and DRLs, fabric upholstery, front power windows, 15-inch steel wheels with plastic wheel caps and a pair of rear parking sensors as well. Safety is also well taken care of with 6 airbags, multi-mode regen, hill hold assist, tyre pressure monitor and more as standard equipment.
