BMW Launches Special Edition Of This 340-HP Roadster In India; Unlocks Manual Gearbox Option

BMW has launched the Pure Impulse Editon in India. The limited-run model has new paint options, a few exterior tweaks and a big mechanical update- a 6-speed manual transmission. The Z4 M40i Pure Impulse prices start at Rs 96.9 lakh for the automatic version and go up to Rs 97.9 lakh for the one with the manual box. The standard Z4 retails in India at an ex-showroom price of Rs 92.9 lakh.

The inline 3.0-litre six-cylinder engine of the Z4 stays untouched. It continues to produce 340 hp and 500 Nm of peak torque. The standard model comes equipped with an 8-speed automatic. However, with the Pure Impulse edition, you can get it with a 6-speed manual. BMW claims 0 to 400 km/h comes in 4.6 seconds with the auto box. The manual drops it to 4.5 seconds.

Pure Impulse: Exterior

The Pure Impulse package brings two new colours: Frozen Deep Green and Sanremo Green. You also get a tweaked front grille. Other unique bits include new M-Light alloy wheels with a 19-inch rim at the front and a 20-inch at the back. You also get M-Sport red brake callipers, high-gloss Shadowline elements, and black mirror caps.

This limited-run Z4 comes with Leather Vernasca Cognac upholstery. You also get M Sport seats and M steering wheel. This comes with a 10.25-inch central touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. There is also a 12-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, a heads-up display, a wireless phone charger, and dual-zone climate control.
