The Rolls-Royce Dawn is the newest convertible to be added to the illustrious list of Rolls Royce cars in India. The four-seater convertible will only be the second RR convertible in the country after the Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe. At its price point, the Dawn is almost twice as expensive as its closest competitor – the Bentley Continental GTC.

Interiors
 

It is a Rolls-Royce and of course it is built exquisitely. You can have the Dawn customised as per your choice from a bouquet of exotic materials, colours and patterns. The classic theme of the dash layout with the wooden veneers, the diamond studded clock, the steering et al carry forward the Rolls Royce heritage of luxury. Creature comforts like power adjustable seats, electrically operated rooftop, infotainment with navigation and cell phone connectivity are a given.

Exteriors
 

The Rolls-Royce’s vertically slatted radiator grille with the Spirit of Ecstasy statuette atop is unmistakable. The Dawn dons the rounded off grille with the Ghost-like projector headlamps. The front fascia looks sporty with the raked design and the front fenders remind you of the Wraith. The astute lines of the Dawn look stately and mask the massive size of the car. The raked windscreen and slightly flared wheel arches with its 21-inch wheels make it look sporty.
 

Engine & Performance
 

The Dawn is powered by the legendary 6.6-litre turbocharged V12 belting out 563bhp of power at 5250rpm and 780Nm of torque from 1500rpm. The refined mill is mated to a custom built eight-speed automatic gearbox that sends power to the rear wheels and propels the Dawn from zero to 100kmph in less than five seconds. And it is impressive as the Dawn weighs a tad above two and a half tonnes.

Mileage

The 6598 cc Petrol – powered variant delivers a fuel economy of 6 kmpl in city and 8 kmpl on highways.
