Model launch date:
The updated Tata Nexon EV was unveiled on 7 September and was in India on 14 September 2023.
Feature list:
The refreshed Nexon EV LED light bars at the front and rear, a new fascia, tweaked front and rear bumpers, new LED tail lights, a 360-degree camera, six airbags, and ADAS. It is currently available with features like a 10.25-inch touchscreen system, an electric sunroof, ventilated front seats and height adjustment for both front occupants.
Battery, powertrain, and specifications:
The 2024 Nexon EV is being offered with two battery pack options. The primary is a 30.2kWh unit in the medium-range versions while a 40.5kWh unit powers the long-range versions. They have a claimed range of 325km and 465km, respectively. Now even the medium range gets a 7.2kWh charger facility. The updated electric motors now produce 127bhp in medium range and 143bhp in long range. O-100kmph comes in at 8.9 seconds and the cars top out at 150kmph. Both cars now get V2L and V2V functions.
Variants:
The Nexon EV facelift is being offered in the Empowered, Fearless and Creative variants.
Safety:
All versions get six airbags, ABS with EBD, TPMS and a stability programme. The updated Nexon EV has not been tested by an NCAP body yet.
Competition:
Rivals to the Nexon EV facelift include the Mahindra XUV400, Hyundai Kona Electric, and MG ZS EV.
