NEW DELHI: The Delhi State Legal Services Authority will hold a National Lok Adalat on May 10, 2025, from 10am to 4pm across seven court complexes in Delhi to settle pending compoundable traffic challans and notices.
The adalat aims to clear up to 180,000 challans through 180 benches, with each bench handling 1,000 cases.

The adalat will be conducted at court complexes in Dwarka, Karkarodoma, Patiala House, Rohini, Rouse Avenue, Saket, and Tis Hazari. Only compoundable traffic notices and challans issued until January 31, 2025, that are available on the Delhi Traffic Police Portal will be taken up for settlement.

The authority has set specific limits for vehicle owners. Private vehicle owners can settle up to seven notices or challans, comprising five notices and two challans. Commercial vehicle owners can settle up to two notices or challans.

Certain types of challans will be excluded from the adalat, including:

  • Non-compoundable notices
  • Cognizance declined notices
  • Paid notices
  • Disposed-off notices
  • Notices transferred to regular, evening, or digital courts

Vehicle owners must download and print their challans from the Delhi Traffic Police website. The download link will be activated from May 5, 2025, at 10am. A daily limit of 60,000 challans or notices has been set for downloads until the overall limit of 180,000 is reached.
Participants must carry printed copies of their notices and challans as no printing facilities will be available at the court complexes. They should visit the designated court number mentioned in their challan printout during their allotted time slot.
