New Delhi: has introduced the DesertX Discovery in India at a starting price of Rs 21.78 lakh (ex-showroom). This new version is built for touring and expands Ducati’s adventure bike lineup. It sits between the standard DesertX and the DesertX Rally, offering a balance of features and performance.
Design
In terms of design, the DesertX Discovery looks similar to the standard model but comes with a unique black, white, and red livery. It also gets added protection and touring-friendly features, including a bull-bar around the fuel tank, a large windscreen, radiator and belly guards, an engine bash plate, a center stand, and hard-case panniers. Ducati is also offering replaceable parts for more customization.
For rider comfort, the bike includes a five-inch TFT screen with smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation (free for five years, then subscription-based), heated grips, and more.

Ducati DesertX Discovery Suspension
The suspension setup includes fully adjustable 46 mm USD front forks and a KYB adjustable mono-shock at the rear. Braking is handled by dual 320 mm discs at the front and a 265 mm disc at the rear, paired with a 21-inch front wheel and an 18-inch rear spoke wheel.
Powering the DesertX Discovery is a 937 cc L-twin engine, producing 108 hp at 9,250 rpm and 92 Nm of torque. It comes with a six-speed gearbox and advanced rider aids like engine brake control, cruise control, selectable power and ride modes, wheelie control, and a bi-directional quick shifter.
