Hero MotoCorp has launched the 2024 Xtreme 160R 2V in India, priced at Rs 1.11 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). This updated model offers a more affordable option compared to its predecessor, likely to stimulate sales during the upcoming festive season.
Based on the existing Xtreme 160R platform, the 2024 Xtreme 160R 2V features a two-valve engine configuration. While the core design remains largely unchanged, the model incorporates minor enhancements such as a revised tail light, a flatter pillion seat, and a drag race timer.
The 2024 Xtreme 160R 2V is available in a single Stealth Black color scheme with red accents. It retains the same engine and hardware specifications as the previous model.
Powered by a 163.2cc single-cylinder engine, the Xtreme 160R 2V delivers 14.79 horsepower and 14 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a five-speed gearbox. The model features a fully digital console with essential readouts and a drag race timer.
In terms of braking and suspension, the Xtreme 160R 2V offers a single front disc brake and a rear drum brake, mounted on 17-inch wheels with road-biased tires. The suspension setup includes telescopic front forks and a monoshock.
The 2024 Xtreme 160R 2V competes with other popular 160cc motorcycles in the Indian market, including the Honda SP160, TVS Apache RTR 160, and Bajaj Pulsar N160.
