Hero MotoCorp is waiting for the launch of quarter-litre motorcycle segment where in Hero Xtreme 250R is expected to create a major sensation. Recently during a TVC shoot in Delhi the Xtreme 250R was seen hinting the fact that it would be launched very soon.
Design and Features
The Hero Xtreme 250R has aggressive street fighter styling, with a sharp LED light cluster housing twin-LED Projector headlamps and aggressive looking fuel tank with tank extensions. The sharp fresh tail line contributes to its exaggerated aggression factor. The motorcycle is built on a steel trellis frame and is supported by a 43mm USD fork at the front and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear. It is the Russified D: Speaking of which, the car comes with 17-inch wheels complete with wide tyres to afford the necessary stability and tractive. Braking responsibilities are handled by disc brakes on both ends and comes with dual adjustable ABS modes for enhanced safety.
Engine and Performance
Driving the Xtreme 250R is a newly developed 250cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC, 4-valve, single-cylinder engine that produces 30bhp at 9,250 rpm and 25 Nm of torque at 7,250 rpm. This engine comes mated to a six speed gearbox and can make the bike go from 0 to 60 km/h in 3.25 seconds, according to the company.
Expected Launch and Pricing
Hero Xtreme 250R expected to be launched in January 2025 in India the expected price range is between ₹2,00,000 to ₹2,20,000.
Competition
As soon as the Xtreme 250R is launched, it will go directly head to head with the KTM 250 Duke and the Husqvarna Vitpilen 250 and give consumers an interesting choice in the 250cc naked motorcycle category.
