  • The issue is due to a faulty fuel hose connection to the tank
  • It affects 2,583 units in Germany

Honda has recalled the CB1000 Hornet and the CB1000 Hornet SP in Germany, over a fuel leak issue. The fuel hose connected to the tank can detach unexpectedly, leading to leakage while riding.

The hose connecting to the tank can get pinched if the wiring harness for the tilt sensor is incorrectly routed. This pressure can cause the hose to disconnect. The issue can be fixed by rerouting the tilt sensor wiring harness and installing an additional harness support if needed.

This issue has affected 2,583 units in Germany. The Japanese manufacturer will contact the owners of the affected motorcycles to offer free inspections and repairs.

In India, Honda launched the CB1000 Hornet SP in May 2025, at Rs. 12.35 lakh (ex-showroom). Since launch, the bike has been recalled over a faulty gearshift pivot bolt. The manufacturer had carried out the replacement free of charge, irrespective of the warranty status.

For reference, the Honda CB1000 Hornet SP is powered by a 999cc, inline-four engine producing 155bhp at 11,000rpm and 107Nm at 9,000rpm. It features a Showa SFF-BP fork and an Ohlins TTX36 monoshock.
