Honda Recalls Its Neo-Retro 300cc Bike In India: Here’s Why

Honda has issued a recall for the CB300R in India. Specific units of the new-retro motorcycle manufactured between 2018 and 2020 are affected under this service campaign. The Japanese two-wheeler maker announced this in an official press statement. The CB300R was launched in India in 2019 and was later updated in 2023. It currently retails in India at an ex-showroom price of Rs 2.40 lakh (ex-showroom).

Why Has Honda Recalled The CB300R?

Honda has recalled the CB300R because of a faulty component in the headlight. The company has identified a defect in the internal PCB structure wherein the wires could suffer fatigue and break at the root terminals. This could result in the headlight flickering or shutting off.

Honda BigWing dealerships will proactively contact customers whose bikes are affected by this recall. CB300R owners whose motorcycles were manufactured between 2018 and 2020 can also visit the Honda BigWing website and check if their vehicle is affected under this service campaign by putting in their Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).
