Hyundai India is preparing the stage for the launch of Alcazar SUV in the Indian market on September 9. Ahead of the launch, the brand has been gradually revealing the details of the SUV. Following the process, the South Korean giant has already revealed the exterior design and interior design of the SUV. Now along with it, the brand revealed features of the vehicle with the claims of the SUV having a few segment-first features.
As revealed earlier, the 2024 will have 6 and 7 seat configurations with a modern layout for the cabin. However, the major highlight is the new 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster which is seamlessly integrated into the 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. For the convenience of the driver, it now comes with an in-built navigation. The brand has also added a touch-control AC panel and dual-zone climate control.
The infotainment system has 70 plus connected car features. Furthermore, now it gets a Digital Key with NFC technology which can be used to lock, unlock, and drive the SUV. It also allows digital key sharing for three different users and seven connected devices. The automaker also claims to have added multiple segment-first features like a magnetic pad on the driver’s console, a second-row wireless charger, multi-language UI support with 10 regional languages, and 10 ambient sounds of nature. It also has an 8-speaker Bose Premium sound system, a panoramic sunroof, and more.
The Hyundai Alcazar will come with a 1.5-liter turbo-petrol engine that produces 160 horsepower. You can choose between a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT for this engine. There will also be a 1.5-liter turbo-diesel engine that generates 115 horsepower, available with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.
The brand has started taking bookings for the Hyundai Alcazar for a token amount of Rs 25,000. Once launched, the SUV will compete against models like Mahindra XUV700, Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus, and others in the Indian market.
