Hyundai Introduces Venue HX8 Diesel Automatic

Strengthening the position in the competitive segment, Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has announced that the all-new Hyundai Venue has crossed the milestone of 1 lakh bookings. At the same time, the company has also introduced a new variant called the Venue HX8 Diesel Automatic, priced at Rs 13,69,900 (ex-showroom). The Venue has been one of the brand’s most successful models since its launch, attracting urban buyers who want a stylish, feature-rich and practical SUV.

Diesel Automatic Option

The newly introduced HX8 Diesel AT variant aims to offer customers a combination of strong diesel performance and automatic driving convenience. The SUV is powered by Hyundai’s proven U2 1.5-litre CRDi diesel engine, which is known for its smooth performance and strong torque delivery.

This engine is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission, which makes driving easier, especially in city traffic where frequent gear changes can become tiring. Diesel engines are also popular among Indian buyers for their better fuel efficiency and higher torque, which helps during highway cruising and overtaking.

Comfort And Technology Features

Hyundai has equipped the HX8 Diesel AT variant with a wide range of comfort and technology features. One of the standout additions is front-row ventilated seats. The cabin also gets dual-tone leatherette seats with VENUE branding, adding a premium feel to the interior and for better driving comfort, the car includes an electric 4-way adjustable driver seat.

In terms of technology, the new variant supports Controller Over-The-Air (OTA) updates, allowing the vehicle’s software to be updated remotely without visiting a service centre. It also features Hyundai Bluelink connected car technology, which allows owners to control and monitor certain vehicle functions using a smartphone app.

Other notable features include ambient lighting on the crash pad and central console, rear disc brakes and an electric parking brake with auto hold. The car also offers drive modes (Eco, Normal and Sport) along with traction control modes for Sand, Mud and Snow. For car enthusiasts who enjoy a more engaging drive, the variant also includes paddle shifters.

Commenting on the milestone, Tarun Garg, Managing Director and CEO of Hyundai Motor India Limited, said the company is pleased that the Venue has crossed 1 lakh bookings, reflecting the strong trust customers have in the brand.

According to him, Indian buyers are increasingly looking for smart, connected and feature-rich mobility solutions, and the new HX8 Diesel Automatic variant is designed to meet those expectations. The variant combines diesel efficiency, torque-rich performance and automatic convenience, making it appealing for both city commuters and highway drivers.

The compact SUV category in India is one of the most competitive segments, with several manufacturers offering multiple options. However, Hyundai believes the Venue continues to stand out due to its advanced technology, comfort features and extensive sales and service network across the country. With the addition of the HX8 Diesel Automatic variant, Hyundai aims to offer customers more choice and flexibility in the Venue lineup.
