For the sixth consecutive year, will continue to be the official partner of the 2023 n Premier League which is scheduled to begin tomorrow. As part of this association, the brand’s entry-level electric vehicle, the Tiago.ev will be displayed in all 12 stadiums across India.
“After 5 consecutive successful runs, we are back with the Tata IPL showcasing our newest EV offering, our premium electric hatch – the Tiago.ev. With this exciting new product, we want to democratize EVs in India,” said , Head Marketing, Sales and Services Strategy, at Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd.
The Tiago.ev was launched in India last year at Rs 8.49 lakh (introductory price, ex-showroom, across India). But earlier this year in February, Tata Motors brought an end to it by increasing the prices of all variants of the EV by Rs 20,000.
The Tiago.ev is available in seven variants with two battery packs – 19.2 kWh and 24 kWh. The former is available with XE and XT trim levels. The latter is available with the XT (too), XZ+, XZ+ Tech LUX variants.
All variants are available with a 3.3 kW AC charger, but the XZ+ and XZ+ Tech LUX can be had with a 7.2 kW AC charger as well.
As the official partner, the brand will also organize several engagement activities across all 12 stadiums to “connect with the nation”. One such interesting activity will be the “100 reasons to go.ev with Tiago.ev” campaign, conceptualized by FCB Ulka.
It will focus on consumers’ top mental barriers towards EV adoption and address those through a series of light-hearted, slice-of-life, relatable instances.
Moreover, this year’s match will also play host to the exciting Tiago.ev Electric Striker Award, where the players with the highest strike rate in a match will not just take home a coveted trophy, but also cash prize of Rs 1,00,000.
Furthermore, there’s also the Tiago.ev Electric Striker of the Season that will give the winner a chance to drive home a brand new Tata Tiago.ev. Additionally, each time the ball hits the Tiago.ev car display on the ground, Tata Motors will donate Rs 5,00,000 towards enhancing the biodiversity of Coffee Plantations in Karnataka by planting saplings.
Tata Motors has engaged with the Indian Premiere League since 2018, showcasing some of its top shelf products like the Nexon, Harrier, Altroz, Safar, and Punch. With the Tiago.ev. at the center of this year’s game signifies the brand’s commitment to faster adoption of a new era of green mobility.
