Kawasaki India to Launch 2023 Ninja ZX-4R On September 11

is gearing up for the launch announcement of the brand-new ZX-4R in the market. This motorcycle is also likely to become its most affordable 4-cylinder motorcycle in . The company has also rolling out official teasers of the motorcycle on its social media handles building up the hype for upcoming motorcycle launch.

The new Ninja ZX-4R boasts an engine capacity of 399cc, similar to the new-generation 390 Duke. However, any resemblance ends there, as this nimble revs to an astonishing 15,000rpm, delivering a peak output of 80hp (assisted by ram air). This figure is almost double the KTM’s output and aligns more closely with ‘s 87hp CBR650R.

The motorcycle is equipped with a familiar 4.3-inch color TFT dashboard that supports Bluetooth connectivity, enabling turn-by-turn navigation and notification alerts. Additionally, the dashboard features a dedicated Track layout.

Braking duties are managed by twin 290mm front discs with Nissin four-piston radial calipers, while the rear utilizes an axial master cylinder and a 220mm disc. Dual-channel ABS is a standard feature. The tire sizes (120/70-ZR17 front and 160/60-ZR17 rear) are similar to the larger Ninja 650, despite the lower engine capacity.

The ZX-4R offers four preset riding modes: Sport, Road, Rain, and a customizable Rider mode, allowing riders to fine-tune traction control and power settings. The SE and RR versions come with a standard bidirectional quickshifter, available as an optional add-on for the standard variant.

The ZX-4R will be imported through the CBU (Completely Built-Up) route and is expected to be priced in the range of Rs 7-8 lakh (ex-showroom) in India, positioning it as an exclusive and premium offering.

The Indian launch of the Kawasaki ZX-4R will initially include only the base model, with the higher-spec ZX-4RR and SE variants excluded from the lineup.
