Kawasaki KLX230 and KLX230R S Can Now Be Ordered Online

Kawasaki has launched its e-shop in India, and customers can now order the KLX230 and KLX230R S online through the platform. Once bookings and formalities are completed, the delivery of the bike can be taken at an authorised dealership. The Kawasaki e-shop also offers after-sales service and support.

Currently, only two models are listed on the site: the KLX230 and the KLX230R S. The KLX230 is a hardcore off-road-focused dual-sport motorcycle. Since it is road-legal, it comes with a headlight, taillight, and turn-indicator setup, among other components such as the saree guard to comply with norms.

The KLX230R S, on the other hand, is a proper off-road motorcycle and isn’t road legal. It has a higher ground clearance of 280mm, compared to the 255mm on the KLX230. It is also lighter than the KLX230 by 10kg, with its kerb weight of 129kg.

Both bikes are powered by the same 233cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing 18.7bhp and 19Nm. The KLX230 is priced at Rs. 1.84 lakh (ex-showroom), whereas the KLX230R S is priced at Rs. 1.79 lakh. Since the KLX230R S is not road-legal, customers can purchase it without having to pay additional registration and RTO taxes.
