Kawasaki Launches This New 650cc Sports Bike In India At Rs 7.27 Lakh

has introduced the 2025 iteration of its mid-size sport-touring motorcycle, the 650, in the Indian market. Priced at Rs 7.27 lakh (ex-showroom), the updated model sees a marginal increase of Rs 11,000 over its predecessor. The most notable change lies in its refreshed aesthetics, featuring a new Lime Green colour scheme that distinguishes it from the outgoing version.

While the previous model also came in Lime Green, the 2025 edition incorporates a bolder livery with a predominantly green body complemented by subtle accents of white, yellow, and black.

Mechanically, the new Ninja 650 remains unchanged. It continues to be powered by a 649cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that delivers 67 bhp at 8,000 rpm and a peak torque of 64 Nm at 6,700 rpm. This engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox, ensuring a refined and dynamic riding experience. The motorcycle is built on a high-tensile steel trellis frame and has a kerb weight of 196 kg.

In terms of hardware, the Ninja 650 rides on 17-inch alloy wheels and is equipped with 41mm telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock with preload adjustment. Braking is handled by dual 300mm front discs and a single 220mm rear disc, supported by dual-channel ABS.

Its closest market competitor, the Triumph Daytona 660, is significantly more expensive, priced at Rs 9.72 lakh (ex-showroom). It should be noted that despite the update, some dealerships may still hold limited stock of the earlier model, which is currently being offered with a Rs 25,000 discount—effectively lowering the price to Rs 6.91 lakh (ex-showroom).
