KTM Launches Its Dual-Sport Kawasaki KLX 230 Rival In India

has launched the in India. The dual-sport motorcycle, which is based on the 390 Adventure, is priced at Rs 3.36 lakh (ex-showroom). Interestingly, the India-spec features a different suspension than the international model, with a travel of 200 mm at the front and 205 mm at the back, compared to 230 mm. KTM will bring the international-spec model to India at a later date.

: Engine

The engine comes from the 390 Adventure. It is a 399cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder unit which cranks out 45.3 hp and 39 Nm of peak torque. Paired with it is a 6-speed gearbox with a slip and assist clutch along with KTM’s quickshifter Plus.

KTM 390 Enduro R: Cycle Parts

Using suspension has allowed this dual-sport motorcycle to have an 860 mm seat height- the international model has 890 mm. However, the ground clearance has also reduced from 272 mm to 253 mm. At the front, there is a 21-inch wheel; at the back, there is an 18-inch wheel. Stopping power comes from a 285 mm disc brake at the front and a 240 mm disc brake at the back.

The 390 Enduro R is now an alternative to the. The latter costs Rs 3.30 lakh and is powered by a 233cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that churns out 18 hp and 18.3 Nm. It offers 880 mm of seat height, weighs 139 kg, and has a ground clearance of 265 mm.
