License To Thrill: Kerala CEO Grabs State’s Costliest ‘0007’ Number Plate For Lamborghini Urus

In an auction held by the state Motor Vehicles Department on April 7, Venu Gopalakrishnan, the CEO and founder of Litmus 7 Systems Consulting Private Limited, made headlines by purchasing the most expensive fancy vehicle registration number in Kerala, ‘KL 07 DG 0007’, for an impressive ₹45.99 lakh.

The exclusive registration number will adorn Gopalakrishnan’s prized possession, a ₹4 crore , which he proudly announced as Kerala’s first of its kind. Sharing his excitement on Instagram, he introduced the vibrant lime green Lamborghini to his followers, stating, “The wait is over! Meet the newest addition to our family… it’s making headlines for its record-breaking number.”

The auction for the coveted ‘0007’ began with bids starting at ₹25,000, attracting five eager participants. The competition intensified in the final rounds, ultimately narrowing to Gopalakrishnan and one other bidder. He emerged victorious, outbidding the previous highest bid of ₹44.84 lakh.

In addition to ‘KL 07 DG 0007’, another fancy registration number, ‘KL 07 DG 0001’, was sold during the same auction for ₹25.52 lakh. The state government has categorized fancy vehicle numbers into six tiers, with base prices ranging from ₹3,000 to ₹1 lakh, where the number ‘1’ commands the highest base price.

Gopalakrishnan’s Instagram page showcases an array of luxury automobiles, including a Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato and a BMW M1000 XR.
