Mahindra Boosts Scorpio Range Production To Address High Demand

Mahindra has significantly increased production of its Scorpio Range (Scorpio N and Scorpio Classic), to address the high demand and reduce the lengthy waiting periods. This production boost aligns with the brand’s strategy to increase output for multiple models and minimize open booking numbers across its lineup.

In just two months, Mahindra has successfully reduced open bookings for the Scorpio N and Scorpio Classic by 33 percent to 58,000 units. This is a significant improvement from the 86,000 units recorded in May. Despite producing over 1.78 lakh units across its entire model range, Mahindra continues to receive approximately 12,000 bookings per month for the Scorpio series, highlighting its strong popularity.

The increased production is expected to further shorten waiting periods and boost sales for the Scorpio SUVs. The Scorpio N, a more modern and upscale version, and the Scorpio Classic, which retains the traditional Scorpio look, both contribute significantly to Mahindra’s sales.

Another popular model, the Mahindra Thar three-door, has also seen a decline in open bookings by around 29 percent in recent months. To manage demand for the newly launched Thar Roxx five-door variant, Mahindra plans to produce approximately 4,000 units per month. The Thar Roxx offers a distinct design and provides more interior space compared to its three-door counterpart.
