Mahindra’s New Multi-Powertrain Vehicle Platform To Debut On August 15

Called ‘Nu’ or possibly ‘Freedom NU’, the platform is expected to be the foundation for Mahindra’s next generation of cars. What makes it interesting is its flexible nature: it’s likely being built to support petrol, diesel, hybrid, and even fully electric powertrains. So, instead of launching separate platforms for EVs and traditional fuel cars, Mahindra could be going for a one-size-fits-many solution.

A teaser shared by the company features both the standard Mahindra logo and its electric division’s badge, which hints that future EVs and combustion-engine vehicles will share the same bones. Reports suggest that the upcoming Bolero might ride on this new architecture, though official confirmations are still under wraps.
