Maruti Suzuki aims to raise rail dispatch share to 35% by FY31: Report

is planning to increase the share of vehicle dispatches through railways to 35 percent by FY2030-31, up from 26 per cent currently, PTI reported on Wednesday.

The company said its in-plant railway siding at Manesar has crossed 1 lakh vehicle dispatches since operations began in June 2025, the report added.

“In CY2025, the company set a record by dispatching over 5.85 lakh vehicles through railways. Over the past decade, the share of rail in outbound logistics has risen sharply from 5 percent in 2016 to 26 percent in 2025,” Managing Director and CEO Hisashi Takeuchi said.

He added that the company aims to further scale up rail-based dispatches in line with its commitment to building efficient and sustainable logistics while contributing to India’s .

Through the Manesar siding, the automaker currently serves 380 cities via 17 hubs using a hub-and-spoke distribution model, the report said.
