A performance shop in India, KS Motorsports, have got their hands on an aftermarket HKS Supercharger for the Maruti Jimny to release to the public to those looking for extra power. KS Motorsports announced that the price will be given after placing an order but will include all the installation parts necessary.
The Maruti Suzuki Jimny Supercharger Kit includes a HKS GTII-7040 Supercharger Unit, HKS Supercharger Fluid, a reservoir, cooling cores, hoses, an HKS Supercharger Pulley, an HKS Blow-off valve, an intake air cleaner mushroom filter, an intercooler Supercharger Bracket, a Supercharger crank pulley, a tensioner adjuster set, 8pk supercharger belt, and a polished aluminium colour intake pipe.
This kit provides a massive power bump of 50bhp and 67Nm of torque. The upgrade in performance will provide a better and more fun drive, on dirt or tarmac. The Jimny being a lighter SUV will feel the upgraded power with ease and will leave the stock one in the dust.
For the Jimny, the supercharger will greatly boost performance levels which will not only make the car faster, but more capable in any driving condition. The power will come into use when the engine is under strain while trying to navigate up an incline or while having to pull the car across uneven terrains.
On the other hand, the supercharger could be hard on the wallet as good-quality aftermarket performance parts don’t come cheap. It could also cause problems with the vehicle’s warranty as modifications tend to do so. Additionally, the fuel-efficiency could drop as well as the car is facing a significant increase in power which normally results in higher fuel consumption.
