Maruti Suzuki’s Domestic PV Sales Dip 5 PC In May 2025

‘s domestic passenger vehicle sales decreased by 5.58% in May 2025, with 135,962 units sold, compared to 144,002 units in May 2024. The mini and compact segment, which includes cars such as the Alto, Baleno, WagonR, Swift, and Dzire, also witnessed a 12.59% decrease, with 68,278 units sold last month, compared to 78,108 units in the same month the previous year. However, the utility vehicle segment, which includes the Brezza, Ertiga, Fronx, Jimny, and Grand Vitara, increased by 1.28% to 54,899 units sold in May 2025, compared to 54,204 units in May 2024.

Total domestic sales for Maruti Suzuki, including passenger vehicles and light commercial vehicles (LCVs), stood at 138,690 units in May 2025. This represents a 5.46% decrease compared to May 2024, when the automaker sold 146,694 units. Sales to other original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) stood at 10,168 units last month for Maruti Suzuki, representing a 3.07% decrease compared to the same month the previous year, when they were at 10,490 units.
