Bugatti has used the Chiron hypercar to its full potential with multiple editions. The brand has launched multiple editions of the car in the last eight years, since its debut at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show. However, the line of cars with the name of the Formula 1 driver Louis Chiron has come to an end with the introduction of L’Ultime. This is a bespoke version of the car with the personalized touch of Sur Mesure. With this comes the finale of the limited run of the production of 500 units of the vehicle.
The road rocket with four wheels in this special version gets Chiron’s signature French Racing Blue with Atlantic Blue hues. Although the pattern of these colours has been reversed with a unique gradient joining these colours. To match the body paint, the wheels of the car get individual colours that merge well with overall aesthetics.
The Bugatti Chiron L’Ultime shows off its heritage with multiple hand-written texts. These are the names of the places associated with the car’s development and lifecycle. These include the Paul Ricard circuit (where it was tested), Ehra-Lessien (the place where the car reached 489 kmph), Geneva (where it debuted), and Chantilly (where it was showcased). Besides these, the brand has scribbled Château Saint Jean and Cape Canaveral, the place where the customers enjoyed the car’s performance.
The Chiron also has a handwritten #500 badge which represents the number of production units of the car. This can be seen above the side skirts, below the rear wing, on the wheels, and on the W16 engine cover. Staying true to its roots, the car bears the colours of the French flag on its mirror caps.
Following the same pattern, the interior of the Chiron L’Ultime is upholstered in Deep Blue leather with Blue Carbon Matt inserts along with French Racing Blue accents. To add to its unique nature the #500 emblems are in different places along with hand-made leather patches on door panels.
The Bugatti Chiron L’Ultime continues to have the same 8.0-litre W16 engine which produces 1,578 hp of power. This is the same powertrain that has helped the car jaw-dropping speed records of 490 kmph.
