Mercedes-Benz India To Soon Launch Its Most-Affordable Electric Sedan; Gets Listed On Official Website

Mercedes-Benz is set to launch the all-new CLA featuring EQ Technology in India. The electric sedan, which was globally unveiled by the German automaker last month, is now listed on its official Indian website. The new CLA will be available with both electric and hybrid powertrains; however, the electric version will debut in India first. It will join the EQS sedan in Mercedes-Benz’s electric vehicle lineup and will be positioned as the brand’s most affordable EV offering. The launch of the CLA EV is expected to take place later this year.

Mercedes-Benz CLA EV: Powertrain and Performance

The new CLA EV is available globally in two variants: CLA 250+ and CLA 350 4Matic. The first variant features a 272 hp electric motor that powers the rear wheels, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds. The CLA 350 4Matic, on the other hand, adds an additional 108 hp electric motor to the front axle, bringing the total power output to 354 hp. This variant can reach 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds.

Both variants of the CLA are equipped with an 85 kWh battery pack. The CLA 250+, with its single-motor configuration, offers a remarkable range of 792 km, while the CLA 350 4Matic can achieve up to 770 km on a single charge. Additionally, the vehicle features an 800V electric architecture that enables charging speeds of up to 320 kW, allowing to add 300 km of range in just 10 minutes of charging.
