The main difference between the Windsor Essence and Windsor Exclusive Pro variants lies in battery capacity. The Windsor Essence is the highest variant that you can buy with the smaller 38 kWh battery and the Windsor Exclusive Pro is the most affordable variant with the larger 52.9 kWh battery.

In terms of usability, the smaller 38 kWh battery pack gives the Windsor a claimed range of up to 332 km and the bigger 52.9 kWh battery returns a claimed range of 449 km on a full charge. Both the Essence and the Exclusive Pro variant are positioned between the variant lineup, however, there are considerable differences in terms of exterior packaging and other elements.

The most distinct design difference is between the 18-inch alloy wheels that the Windsor and Windsor Pro offer. The Essence gets the diamond-cut alloy wheels, while the Exclusive Pro gets a set of dual-tone alloy wheels. The other major difference is in the interior theme of the two variants. The standard Windsor comes with a Knight Black interior theme and the Windsor Pro gets a new dual-tone ivory white interior. However, while the Essence gets a PM2.5 air filter, the Exclusive Pro variant misses out on it.

If you choose to go for the smaller battery in the Essence variant, you will also get access to the Infinity View glass roof and ambient lighting features. If a longer range is a priority for you, then you will be missing out on these features in the Exclusive Pro variant as a trade-off between features versus range.

Coming to the price, the Windsor Essence variant costs Rs 16.52 lakh ex-showroom, while the Exclusive Pro variant is priced at Rs 17.37 lakh ex-showroom. For a premium of Rs 85,000, buyers get access to the much larger 52.9 kWh battery pack at the cost of losing features like the glass roof, ambient lighting and air purifier. From a long-term ownership perspective, the Exclusive Pro with the bigger battery sounds more reasonable but for those who are looking for a second or third car as an EV, the Windsor Essence fulfills most criteria and offers top-end features.
