MG Windsor Pro To Get A Bigger Battery Than Tata Nexon.ev

MG Motors will soon launch the Pro variant of the Windsor in India. This new model will be positioned above the existing lineup of the compact EV and will feature a larger battery pack, offering an extended driving range. MG has teased the Windsor Pro several times recently and has now announced that it will come equipped with a 52.9 kWh battery pack. However, the brand has not yet provided estimates for the driving range.

The MG Windsor is equipped with a 38 kWh battery pack, promising a range of 332 km. In contrast, the Windsor Pro features a 52.9 kWh battery pack, which is expected to significantly enhance its range. This battery pack will be larger than the 45 kWh battery offered in the Tata Nexon.ev, which has a claimed range of 489 km.

The Windsor Pro will come equipped with Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) charging technology. The V2L feature will effectively transform the electric vehicle into a power bank on wheels, enabling it to charge electrical devices through specialised outlets. In contrast, the V2V function allows the vehicle to charge other electric vehicles in case of an emergency.
