Introduction to the TVS Raider

The TVS Raider is a sporty 125cc commuter motorcycle designed specifically for daily urban riding. First launched in India in 2021, it successfully combines efficient and practical performance with aggressive styling and modern technology. Over the years, it has received several updates, including a comprehensive update in October 2025 that introduced advanced variants, new colour schemes, and enhanced braking systems.

Performance and Engine Capabilities

At the heart of the motorcycle is an air and oil-cooled single-cylinder SI engine paired with a 5-speed gearbox. This powertrain delivers a maximum power output of 11.2 bhp at 7500 rpm and 11.75 Nm of torque at 6000 rpm. Riders can also benefit from dedicated riding modes like Eco and Power, alongside a boost mode for added responsiveness. Despite its spirited performance, the bike maintains high efficiency, offering an ARAI-certified mileage of 56.7 kpl.

Variants and Modern Features

The motorcycle is available in multiple variants to suit diverse rider preferences, ranging from standard drum brake setups to advanced trims featuring disc brakes at both ends with single-channel ABS. Depending on the variant chosen, riders get modern instrumentation such as a 5-inch TFT screen or an LCD screen. Ergonomically, it features a 780mm seat height, a healthy ground clearance of 180mm, and a kerb weight ranging from 123 kg to 125 kg.
