2026 Skoda Kushaq Production Update Ahead Of March Deliveries

After its official unveiling in January 2026, Skoda Auto Volkswagen India has now confirmed that production for the new Kushaq SUV has started at the automaker’s Pune plant. This indicates that the Kushaq is on schedule for its March 2026 deliveries. With the new facelift, the Kushaq has now evolved in terms of design, powertrain and features list and continues to challenge other popular rivals in the highly competitive mid-sized SUV segment. While production of the new SUV indicates that everything is on track, Skoda has yet to announce the complete price list for the new Kushaq. The price reveal is also scheduled for late February or early March, before deliveries commence at dealerships across the country. Along with the SUV, Skoda has also rejigged the variant lineup for the new Kushaq with 5 trim levels on offer.

Several highlight features that are being offered in the new Kushaq include the 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine along with a new 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission. 16-inch alloy wheels, single pane electric sunroof, LED headlamps and taillamps and over 25 safety features that are standard from the base variant itself. As you go up the variant ladder, add-ons such as a panoramic sunroof, rear seats with massage function, over 40 safety features, 17-inch alloy wheels and the more powerful 1.5-litre TSI petrol engine become available. The new Kushaq also boasts a 5-star crash safety rating from Global NCAP.

Hence, if you have the Kushaq on your shortlist, you can book the SUV at any Skoda dealership or online for a token amount of Rs 15,000. The start of production in Pune indicates that deliveries scheduled for March 2026 are on schedule and will presumably start across major tier 1 cities next month. In terms of pricing, while there is no official confirmation from Skoda, we expect the new Kushaq to be priced between Rs 10.50 lakh and Rs 18.50 lakh ex-showroom. Considering that Skoda is offering segment-leading features from the base variant itself, the new Kushaq is expected to appeal to a wide set of buyers in India.
