Range Rover has launched the exclusive Range Rover SV Sawai Collection in India, following the success of earlier limited-run models like the Ranthambore and Masāra editions. Restricted to a total of 18 vehicles worldwide, the lineup comprises six examples each of the Sawai Jaipur Edition, Sawai Jodhpur Edition, and Sawai Jaisalmer Edition. Each version carries a price tag of Rs 4.90 crore (ex-showroom, New Delhi), which is lower by Rs 9 lakhs compared to the Masare Edition. This ultra-luxury release follows Rajasthan's architectural heritage, incorporating bespoke regional design themes and dedicated numbering plaques on the center console.

Rajasthan-Inspired Design Themes

The Sawai Jaipur Edition draws inspiration from the Pink City, featuring a warm rose-tinted exterior paired with an Ecru and Deep Garnet dual-tone interior. Cabin elements include specially crafted leatherette seats with patterns inspired by the Hawa Mahal, complemented by white ceramic controls on the center console and contrasting Deep Garnet themes in the second row. Meanwhile, the Sawai Jodhpur Edition mimics the Blue City and the Thar Desert, boasting a soft blue exterior shade. Inside, it utilizes a lighter Perlino and Riviera theme for the leatherette upholstery across the dashboard, seatbelts, and seats, creating a sky-like ambience.

The Sawai Jaisalmer Edition celebrates Rajasthan's Golden City and Rajputana forts, offering an elegant satin golden exterior finish. Its cabin adopts a Perlino and Caraway duotone interior, pairing lighter Perlino elements in the front row with Caraway theme leatherette seats in the back. Every model in the collection features unique Sawai edition plaques denoting the chosen city and the specific vehicle number.

Powertrain and Performance

Under the bonnet, all 18 versions of the collection rely on the manufacturer's 4.4-litre V8 engine. The motor delivers 606bhp and 750Nm of torque, routed through an eight-speed torque converter automatic transmission. The automaker’s four-wheel-drive (AWD) technology comes fitted as standard equipment.
