Triumph Motorcycles has broadened its entry-level 400 portfolio by launching the Tracker 400, a flat-track-influenced motorcycle bringing a new aesthetic to the brand's accessible lineup. The model arrives in Indian showrooms carrying an ex-showroom price of Rs. 2.46 lakh.

Flat-Track Design and Styling

The motorcycle adopts a stripped-back, minimalist appearance inspired by flat-track racing machines. Key visual elements comprise a round LED headlight coupled with a stubby visor, alongside a broad, low handlebar that establishes an aggressive stance. Its styling incorporates a compact fuel tank, a number-board-style side panel, and a minimalist tail section.

Underpinning components include a sub-frame sourced from the Thruxton 400, while the twin-barrel exhaust system is borrowed directly from the Scrambler 400.

Engine Specifications and Performance

Although the global variant utilizes a 398cc powerplant, the specification tailored for India features a newly introduced 350cc motor. This adjustment was implemented to enhance market accessibility by taking advantage of reduced taxation brackets.

Operating on the Thruxton's engine tuning profile, this powerplant generates 39.5bhp alongside a maximum torque output of 32Nm.

Chassis and Hardware Features

  • Tubular steel frame shared with the Speed 400
  • Upside-down front forks and a rear monoshock setup
  • Disc brakes on both wheels with dual-channel ABS
  • 17-inch alloy wheels fitted with dual-purpose tyres

Color Choices and Market Rivalry

Buyers can select from a palette of three paint schemes: Aluminium Silver, Racing Yellow, and Phantom Black. The Racing Yellow option provides a vibrant, youthful aesthetic, whereas the remaining two finishes deliver a more subtle elegance.

In the domestic marketplace, the newly unveiled motorcycle competes directly against the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450.
