Japanese automaker Nissan has revealed the all-electric version of its popular , the . The new generation of the hatchback will be exclusively available with an electric powertrain. Alongside the Micra, Nissan also unveiled the new Leaf. These two EVs will go on sale in Europe by the end of this year and will be joined by another compact EV, most likely the electric Juke crossover.

On the outside, the new Micra looks cute. The round daytime running LED lights give it a happy face. The body panels are shaped to appear sharp. The roof is black, which provides the car with a smart look. The wheel features a four-spoke design. The new Micra is based on the same CMF-BEV platform that underpins the Renault 5 EV.

The new Micra will have two battery options: 40 kWh and 52 kWh. Nissan says the bigger pack will give the EV a range of 400 km. The brand has yet to share the range estimates for the smaller pack, as well as the drivetrain and power and torque figures of their respective electric motors.
