Reise has launched its new tourRad adventure touring tyre range in India. It is an 80:20 road-biased tyre designed for long-distance touring with occasional off-road use. Prices of these tyres start from Rs. 3,099 and go up to Rs. 6,999, depending on the size and construction.

The tourRad features a block-pattern tread with wider grooves to improve traction across surfaces and aid water dispersion in wet conditions. It uses large cross-over centre blocks for better straight-line stability and wider lateral blocks to enhance cornering grip. The tyre also gets a dual radii profile to maintain a consistent contact patch while riding upright and at lean angles.

In terms of construction, the rear tyre is a radial unit while the front gets a reinforced structure. It also uses a zero-degree steel belt for high-speed stability and a stiff carcass to improve handling during cornering. The compound includes high silica content to offer better grip in both wet and dry conditions, along with more even wear over long distances.
