Nashik: Toll fees at the Pimpalgaon toll plaza will be increased marginally from Rs225 to Rs235 for private cars and from Rs365 to Rs380 for light commercial vehicles, beginning today. National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) officials said that this marks the annual revision of toll fees for the 60km stretch of the Mumbai-Agra highway from Pimpalgaon to Gonde.
The return journey for cars, jeeps, vans, and other light motor vehicles will be Rs355, up from the previous Rs340. In the last financial year of 2024-25, the toll fees for for trucks or buses was Rs770 which will become Rs795, that for 3-axle commercial vehicles, which was Rs840 will now be Rs870, and for other oversized vehicles with seven axles or more, the fee increase will be from Rs1,470 to Rs1,520.
In a bid to strengthen the road, NHAI gave a concrete topping to this entire stretch this year, which officials have said prevents potholes from forming during monsoon.
Officials of the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) said toll fees, for cars, jeeps, vans and other light motor vehicles, which were Rs1.73 per km from Dec 2022 to March 31 this year will increase to Rs2.06 per km on the Samruddhi Expressway. For light commercial vehicles, fees on the expressway will be Rs3.32 per km from Rs2.79 per km.
For buses and trucks, the toll fees will increase from Rs5.85 per km to Rs6.97, for 3-axle vehicles —from Rs6.38 per km to Rs7.6 per km and for vehicles with 7 axles or more— Rs11.17 per km will become Rs13.3 per km.
