The safety features list of the SUV has been revealed. Hyundai Motor India Limited has confirmed that the sub-4 meter will come equipped with 6 airbags as standard across all trims. Bookings are already underway and the SUV can be booked ahead of its official launch at any nearby authorized Hyundai dealership or online at Rs 11,000.
Except for the entry-level EX and S variants, the Hyundai Exter will be available with 26 safety features. This includes first-in-segment ESC (Electronic Stability Control), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), and Hill Assist Control (HAC). In addition, it will get a 3-point seat belt and seatbelt reminder, keyless entry, ABS and EBD, Rear Parking Sensors, ESS, Burglar Alarm, and many more. The entry-level variants will get them as options.
In addition, HMI will also equip 40 advanced safety features that include a headlamp escort function, auto headlamp, ISOFIX, rear defogger, and rear parking camera. Moreover, the Exter will also be available with first safety features such as a dashcam with a dual camera, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), and Burglar Alarm.

The safety features reveal comes a few weeks after Hyundai officially revealed the images of the Exter. Unlike the Casper, which was earlier perceived would be launching here, the Exter gets H-shape LED DRLs and a squared headlight design. The front is further adored by the parametric grille, and the roof rails skid plate, and side claddings give the Exter a rugged appeal.
The Exter will be powered by an E20 Compliant 1.2-litre engine mated to either a 5-speed manual or Smart Auto AMT. There’s also the 1.2-liter bio-fuel (Petrol and CNG) engine option that will be available with a 5-speed transmission only.
